Welcome to Humanity1st

Humanity 1st is a community organization, it was set up by people who are passionate about making long-term improvements in people’s lives within the deprived area of Wakefield district, with particular emphasis on supporting, engaging, and working with the BAME groups through their excellent networks.

The overarching objective of Humanity 1st is to empower people from the communities throughout the District of Wakefield to enable them to engage with mainstream health and wellbeing services, empowers people with the basic skills needed to be productive in employment or in their preferred careers to reduce the inequalities exacerbated by Covid-19.

The organisation has developed a co-produced model of support through listening to local people and asking for their help in the supporting and the delivery of the programme. The project is taking a Person-Centred model of emotional and practical support involving participants at every step of their journey. Our model is designed to empower, which not only ensures equality and diversity but also ensures engage
